Hands-on senior software architect to serve as VP of Engineering for disruptive early stage Start Up

About us: Innovative early stage start up out of MIT in the online international money transfer & payments space. Offices in Cambridge, MA (US) and Valencia (Spain).

We seek:

• An experienced, talented, resourceful and hands-on SW engineering manager (+6 years of experience), able to architect and design the system from zero in line with agile processes and current scalable solutions (e.g. Cloud). We look for a passionate individual able to build the system from the ground up.
• Strong back end experience, with expertise in architecting, building and running secure large scale systems, security & certifications, enterprise integration, web applications, managing offshore teams and able to perform in-house developments. Technical expertise of, among others, LAMP, MySQL, PHP, Java, Webservices, SOA, Ajax, html, SSL, CSS & WordPress. Zend, SVN  & C# is a plus. Degree in Computer Science.
• Experience in online startups, financial services and familiarity with social networks valued.
• Fluent English required and Spanish as a plus.
